The 3rd FoodConf is organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Food Science, Szent Istvan University, the National Food Chain Safety Office, the Scientific Committee on Food Science, Section of Chemical Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and the Foundation of Education, Research, Development in Food Science.

The idea of the conference is to bring together scientists, scholars, engineers and students from the Universities and from the Food Industry to present ongoing research activities, and hence to foster research relations between the Universities and the Industry. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates from all over the World to exchange new ideas and experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find new partners for future collaboration. 

The program will cover all the major fields of Food Science and Technology, including the application of Industry 4.0 in food sector.



Topics covered (but not limited to):

Food analysis and quality control: chemistry, microbiology, physics, sensory, biochemistry

Food technology: livestock technology, beverages, drink technology, cereal technology, plant technology, postharvest, packaging and storage of foods, biotechnology, enzyme technology, nanotechnology 

Nutrition and food science: nutrition, nutraceuticals, fortified foods, functional foods

Industry 4.0 in Food Sector: automatisation and robotisation, big data processing, smart device and system, smart labeling

Food safety and supply chain: marketing, policy, economics, logistics

Wastes and by/co-products management  


The official language will be English; however, some sessions will be organized exclusively for local participants in Hungarian.  

Presentations will include invited plenary (30 min) and keynote lectures (20+5 min), lectures (15 + 5 min), and poster sessions.

Abstract submission deadline: 30 September, 2018

Early registration fee (before September 30, 2018): 170 €

Regular registration fee (after September 30, 2018): 280 €

Early registration fee for students, accompanying person: 120 €

Regular registration fee for students, accompanying person: 200 €

The registration fee includes participation at the scientific program, commercial exhibition and banquet (November 30), lunches (November 30 and December 1), a congress bag, coffee/refreshment, farewell drink.
