Food Science Conference 2015

Integration of science in food chain





organized by the Faculty of Food Science of Corvinus University of Budapest, the Food Science Scientific Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Hungarian Association for Food Protection (HAFP) and the National Food Chain Safety Office.

The conference is dedicated in memoriam to Prof. Jzsef Farkas.

Food Science Conference 2013 was held by the leading institution of Hungarian food engineering education, Faculty of Food Science of Corvinus University of Budapest, with purpose of proliferation of scientific results, as well as creation of a broad platform for academic discussion and interpersonal, direct communication. We hope that this conference will attract many colleagues from abroad either from academia or industry.

Official language of the conference is English.
The best lectures/posters will have the opportunity to be published in refereed periodicals in English.

Applications are welcome in the following planned topics:

1. Biotechnology, fermentation processes
2. Food chain safety and quality control
3. Food chain safety decision making

4. Food chemistry and analysis
5. Food economy, logistics and consumers
6. Food engineering and measurement techniques
7. Food microbiology
8. Food protection (risk assessment, risk ranking, food security, food defence)

9. Food technology (processing, preservation and storage technologies)

10. Nutrition

11. Predictive modeling and network science in food chain safety

The 4-page English language summaries of the lectures/posters (proceedings) are published in a CD with ISBN number and at the webpage of the conference.

Participation fee:
Early bird registration: 200 EUR; Late registration: 300 EUR;
PhD students early bird registration: 100 EUR; PhD students late registration: 150 EUR.

Special fees for members of the Public Body of Hungarian Academy of Sciences or members of Hungarian Chemical Society (MKE) or members of Hungarian Society for Food Industry (MTE):
Early bird registration: 45000 HUF; Late registration: 60000 HUF
PhD students early bird registration: 20000 HUF; PhD students late registration: 30000 HUF.

An invoice of the participation fee will be sent after the application that should be paid via bank transfer till 21st September, 2015 (early).
Costs of meals, coffee/beverages and CD are included in the participation fee.

Guide for poster session: Your poster should be no larger than 85 cm wide and 1.3 meters high. Tape will be provided for you to use to adhere your poster. Please include your poster title in your poster. Authors should be present at their posters during the scheduled conference coffee breaks to discuss your poster with other attendees.
